Designate Whitewebbs Park A Conservation Area

Following the felling of our beloved Toby Carvery Oak tree, Labour-run Enfield Council’s neglect for our cherished Greenbelt areas have been put into sharp focus.

Your local Conservative Councillors are calling on Enfield Council to prevent future harm to this historic forested area by designating the areas of the park west of the old golf course as the "Whitewebbs Park Conservation Area".

This designation would ensure that Enfield Council’s Planning Department must be notified in advance of any future works to trees so that tenants like Toby Carvery can benefit from the expertise of the Council’s Arboricultural Officers who will also be empowered to take steps to prevent inappropriate tree works or prosecute if works to trees are carried out without prior notification.

Conservation Area designation would also secure that any future development of the area and should preserve or enhance this historic parkland’s special character and appearance.

Should this current administration not act, Enfield Conservatives pledge that we will designate a Whitewebbs Park Conservation Area if we are elected to govern Enfield Council in the May 2026 election.
